Yes, via Steam Workshop. Players subscribe through the in-game mod browser and the server auto-loads whitelisted mods on next restart. The workshop is active with hundreds of community-made maps, weapons, vehicles, and total conversions.
Only if you want your server to appear on the Licensed server list – the community-managed list of servers that meet Offworld's tighter moderation and rules standards. Unlicensed servers still run fine and show up in the community browser; most public and clan servers are unlicensed.
Our servers include 10 GB RAM by default, which is comfortable for a 50-slot server with a modest mod list. Bigger servers (80–100 slot) or heavy modded setups benefit from 15, 20, 25 or 30 GB upgrades through configurable resources on your plan.
Squad maps are called "Layers" – each map has multiple versions for different game modes (AAS, Invasion, RAAS, etc.) and faction matchups. You edit Layers.cfg to define which Layers your server rotates through, or use LayerRotation.cfg for more complex rotation logic. Our Server Configuration guide walks through the format.
Yes. Use ServerPassword in Server.cfg for a shared password, or Whitelist.cfg for a SteamID-based whitelist. Whitelist is the usual choice for clan servers, training events, or tightly-moderated communities.
No. Squad 44 (the WW2 spin-off, formerly Post Scriptum) is a separate game with its own dedicated server software. It is similar in shape but not interchangeable – our Squad 44 hosting is listed separately.
